Civil servants in Amuru district were on Tuesday morning oriented on the new Human Capital Management system by a team from the ministry of public service.
The Team leader, Ms. Birungi Evelyn said that Amuru district will benefit from the 3rd phase of implementation of the Human Capital Management system.
According to Ms. Birungi, the ministry is carrying out an assessment on Amuru district to establish how ready the team is to welcome the new technology in the human resource department.
She also explained that besides reducing the work load of the human resource department, the new Human Capital Management system will transform the department from the traditional ways of doing work to the new way, that will involve less paper work.
Ms. Birungi added that the new technology will also offer self help options to public officers who will be able to access services from the human resource department from anywhere without physically walking into the human resource office among other benefits.
Meanwhile, Amuru district Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Otai Charles welcomed the initiative and implored civil servants in Amuru district to embrace the new technology. He also pledged commitment on behalf of the district towards ensuring successful implementation of the program.
