Amuru team overjoyed by exposure visit to Oruka epicenter

Amuru district team that went for an exposure visit at Oruka epicenter in Purongo Sub County, Nwoya district is overjoyed by their experience.
The team included the deputy chief administrative officer, District chairperson, Deputy resident district commissioner and others.
The LCIII Purongo Sub County, Benson Otto said that his sub county is blessed to have been chosen by the hunger project to benefit from the epicenter that seats on a 5 acre piece of land.
He explained that the epicenter hosts among others a Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization, A health Centre III, WASH facilities, a nursery school, Food store and demonstration farm.
He says that this intervention has not only transformed the livelihood of the people living in Purongo Sub County but their mindset as well.
Amuru district chairperson, Mr. Lakony Michael appreciated the hunger project and Nwoya team for the welcome, hospitality and experience sharing saying Amuru team has learnt a lot from the visit.
He appealed to Amuru district leadership to embrace the project of the Epicentre once it comes to the district, In Lakang Sub County which is the proposed site.
Meanwhile, Amuru district is expecting potential investors who will come in September and October to visit the proposed site and potentially finance the Epicentre project in Lakang Sub County.
