Amuru District Registers Remarkable Improvement in 2025 PLE Results

Amuru District has recorded significant progress in the 2025 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), demonstrating steady improvement in academic performance across the district.

This year, 90 pupils achieved First Grade, a notable increase from 60 First Grades last year — reflecting the commitment of our learners, teachers, parents, and education stakeholders to improving education standards in Amuru.

Schools Producing First Grades

Several schools across the district proudly contributed to this achievement:

Aporwegi Primary School – Amuru Sub County

Lujoro Primary School – Amuru Town Council

Abalokodi Primary School – Atiak Sub County

Pupwonya Primary School – Atiak Sub County

Olya Primary School – Atiak Town Council (2 First Grades)

Elegu Primary School – Elegu Town Council (2 First Grades)

Strong Performance from Lamogi Sub County

Lamogi Sub County recorded 7 First Grades, distributed as follows:

1 from Keyo Primary School

2 from Lacor Primary School

4 from Pagak Primary School

Outstanding Achievement in Pabbo

Pabbo emerged as a major contributor to this year’s success:

Pabbo Town Council produced 38 First Grades, including:

5 from Agole Primary School

5 from Smart Primary School

14 from St. Andrews MFN Primary School

Pabbo Sub County added 1 First Grade from Labala Primary School

Continued Commitment to Improvement

While some sub-counties are still striving to attain First Grades, the overall district performance shows a clear upward trajectory. The increase from 60 to 90 First Grades highlights the positive impact of strengthened academic supervision, improved school leadership, and enhanced community involvement in education.
