RDC calls upon partners to support operation of GBV Shelter

Amuru district resident district commissioner (RDC), Geoffrey Osborn Oceng has called upon different stakeholders and partners in the district to support sustainability and operation of the Gender Based Violence Shelter at Amuru District headquarters.
According to Mr. Oceng, GBV cases continue to rise by day and services of the shelter is much needed.
"There is an increase in production. Almost every week there are wedding meetings which imply an increase in production. this in contributes to cases of Gender Based violence," noted RDC.
He asked district heads to continue to lobby for funding to support operation of the GBV shelter that is currently being taken care of by Action Aid whose funding ends in May 2021.
